RE-ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

New Tennis Courts North Rowan Middle School 512 Charles Street Spencer, NC 28159

Pursuant to Section 143-129 of the North Carolina General Statutes, Sealed Proposals for the furnishing of labor, materials and equipment for the construction of new tennis courts at North Rowan Middle School will be received from qualified bidders by Project Architect, William R. Burgin, AIA, in the office of Assistant Superintendent of the Rowan-Salisbury, 110 South Long Street, East Spencer, North Carolina, until 3:00 p.m.

MONDAY, OCTOBER 11, 1999

at which time they will be publicly opened and read.

Bid proposals will be received from licensed General Contracts. Instructions for submitting Bids and complete plans and specifications for the project may obtained from Ramsay, Burgin, Smith, Architects, Inc., 625 West Innes Street, Salisbury, NC 282144 after 3 September 1999.

Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the bid. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Sum will be required from the successful bidder. The Rowan-Salisbury Schools have the right to reject any and all proposals.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS

The Director of Engineering and Building Standards will be receive sealed bids for the "Gatling Juvenile Diagnostic Center Renovations" on October 28, 1999 until 2:00 p.m. in Hoffman Conference Room, lower level the Hal Marshall Serivces Center, 700 North Tryon, Charlotte, North Carolina at which time and place Bids will be opened and read aloud. Bids will be taken for Telecommunications Construction as specified on the project plans and specifications. Proposals must be made on standard forms furnished by the County and must be marked, "Proposal".

Each set of plans and specifications shall be purchased at The Sharpe Company. 4832 Dwight Evans Rd., Charlotte, NC, 704-527-7087 at the cost of printing the documents. The fee is non-refundable and the plans and specifications shall be made the property of the Contractor or Vendor.

Each proposal must be accompanied by a deposit equal to 5% of the

total bid. This deposit may consist of Cash, or a Cashier's Check issued by or a Certified Check drawn on a Ban or Trust Company authorized to do business in North Carolina, or a bank insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, or a U.S. Money Order payable to Mecklenburg County, or 5% Bid Bond in the form required by G.S. 143-129, issued by an Insurance Company authorized to do business in North Carolina.

A prebid meeting shall be held on October 20, at 2:00 pm at the Gatling Center, 11700 Veroeff Drive, Huntersville, NC. It is mandatory that the bidders attend the pre-bid.
