Presbyterian program moves
to Y
by LaToya Hankins, THE CHARLOTTE POST
The Presbyterian Pro-Health Team has now become a part of the McCrorey YMCA family.

The group will be at the center located at 3801 Beatties Ford Road and will be introduced during a Fall Festival Saturday. Members of the program includes a nutritionist, physical therapist and exercise physiologist, who will now join the center's staff.

"Because we are part of the Presbyterian Healthcare program and one of the nurses on our team is also the nurse at McCrorey, we decided this would be a good idea," said coordinator Donna Boston, coordinator. "As part of our purpose with the Pro-Health Team, we go out into the community and work with children to teach them about healthy eating, exercise and playing safe."

The Pro-Health Team has been a part of the Presbyterian Healthcare program since Feburary and has already signed up 2,000 children who pledge to take care of their health.

Boston said the goal for next year is to encourage parents to adopt healtheir living and eating habits.

The fall festival will be held 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Along with the introduction of the Pro-Health Team, there will also be a free cholesterol screening, blood pressure and give-aways.
